Construction timber

Construction timber is most commonly used in the construction of wooden structures, houses and other buildings. These are rafters, beams, laths, etc. In the construction field, wood is often a preferred choice when it comes to building materials due to its unique qualities:

  • it is easily processed, especially in a mechanized way;
  • it is an extremely durable building material;
  • the structures assembled from wood can be immediately used in load-bearing applications in turn simplifying construction work. And, with the help of prefabricated parts, wooden structures are installed very quickly;
  • it is aesthetically attractive; and, in addition, it can be perfectly integrated with and into other materials;
  • its individual parts can be easily joined with nails, glue, and other fasteners;
  • it has a low thermal conductivity and is an excellent sound barrier;
  • if it is taken care of properly, wooden products can be long-lasting.
